In " The Raffles Treaty" artwork, various imagery was used:

  1. The Jackson Plan, also known as the Raffles Town Plan, drawn up in 1822, as a proposed plan for the young town of Singapore.

  2. The 1819 Singapore Treaty. Stamford Raffles, Temenggong Abdu’r Rahman and Sultan Hussein Shah of Johor signed a treaty that gave the British East India Company (EIC) the right to set up a trading post in Singapore.

  3. A portrait of Stamford Raffles in the style of a Straits Settlements stamp.
