Information on International Shipping
(Canvas Prints)
Below applies to all canvas prints except 36x36 cm.
36x36 cm canvas prints are shipped as-is, in a cardboard box (left image).
With regards to shipping a canvas print overseas, there are a few ways, and different costs involved.
The first way would be to ship the framed print as-is. This is the most expensive method as it would involve us having to wrap the print in several layers of bubble wrap and constructing a box around it. We will ship it with DHL, and it might cost around $300-$800 depending on your location. There is also a risk of damage to the frame during shipping.
We have once shipped a framed print to Abu Dhabi using an artwork handling company.
This involves them building a wooden crate around the artwork. There is minimal risk of damage, but the cost was also quite high - somewhere between $500-$1000 (we shipped it together with another larger canvas artwork).
The third way is to have the canvas print itself, without any framing (please see info on “unframed prints”).
A more contemporary look and there is less risk of damage. The canvas print will be 2" high/thick. For the shipping cost, it might cost around $200-$500 (this is a very rough estimate and we will only know the final costs once the artwork is packaged, weighed and measured).
The forth way is to order the canvas print itself without any box framing, then find a framer at your location to construct a shadow box frame around it. For our shadow box framing, the canvas print is just 1" high/thick, and it sits on top of strips of wood to give it "floating" effect. The shadow box framing is a rather simple framing style which most framers should be able to do.
The fifth way is to order the canvas print rolled up - we will pack this in a cardboard tube. Shipping cost is very much lower, but you will need to look for a framer at your location.
