Emerald Hill is one of the most colourful neighbourhoods in Singapore. Located near the shopping district of Orchard Road, this conservation area was home to wealthy Peranakan families. Chinese Baroque and Art Deco architectural styles feature on many shophouses. Today, Emerald Hill remains an upscale area, with many shophouses being converted to house businesses like pubs and restaurants. This photograph was taken at Emerald Hill, Central Singapore.
