As of October 2019, this artwork is on the wall of Raffles Hotel’s Presidential Suite.
 

In " The Raffles Hotel" artwork, various imagery was used:

  1. The Jackson Plan, also known as the Raffles Town Plan, drawn up in 1822, as a proposed plan for the young town of Singapore.

  2. The 1819 Singapore Treaty. Stamford Raffles, Temenggong Abdu’r Rahman and Sultan Hussein Shah of Johor signed a treaty that gave the British East India Company (EIC) the right to set up a trading post in Singapore.

  3. Text about Raffles Hotel was taken from a vintage advertisement , which speaks of the Sarkies Brothers who are the founders of The Raffles Hotel.
