Artwork Description

“Vertical Gardens #1” shows a dream-like space. These gardens reach up into the heavens. Like a Chinese landscape, clouds meander through the landscape. However, in Vertical Gardens, traditional Chinese landscapes are replaced with the tropical foliage of South East Asia. Just as you would find in a dream, there are unexpected ideas juxtaposed together. Tropical palm trees sway in the breeze, lush leafy Travellers Palms are suspended in the skies. Sun rays shine through the trees and golden ink sparkles in a magical way. In a world where there is so much turmoil and pain, Vertical Gardens rise up to a more positive future.

In this artwork I hope to bring a lightness to the spirit with the promise of a better future.
