Artwork Description
In the 1800s, early explorers ventured into new lands where they discovered an array of exotic flora & fauna. Specimens were keenly gathered and taken back to be put on display in greenhouses. Greenhouses were specially built to create the right environment for these exotic plants to thrive. They were made of glass and were also called conservatories or hothouses. In these recreational spaces plants could be admired and enjoyed. In a similar way in this series of artworks - Little Green Houses’ I intend to bring little pockets of green beauty into the interior space, where they too can be cared for and enjoyed.
